I am David Eldridge (like a lot of other fellows with the same name). My site is a hybrid of religious, political and personal thought.

I am a Christian. (But isn’t everyone in America?) More specifically, I am a Reformed (Calvinistic) Baptist. Outside of some near Baptist Churches, we are most like Reformed Presbyterians (RP),* but less like the PCA or OPC. I believe that God is sovereign over all things. I trust him, and can think of none better to rule over all things. I think it would be easiest to point to the (1689) London Baptist Confession as the most concise outline of what I believe. I would love to agree with everyone. But I don’t. I don’t believe that we are all going to get to heaven, and I sometimes wonder if I am on that narrow way.

I have strong political views, but they are not easily summed up. This is only an about page, not an autobiography, so I will try to leave it sparce here. As a rule, I can’t vote for a Democrat, I won’t vote for any Republicans I can think of (Ron Paul was close). Libertarians scare me, or at least the outcome of their philosophies do; yes, even though I wish the government would leave us alone, as they do. I cannot think of anyone else to get behind. And as I find myself often saying, the lesser of two evils is still evil. I don’t want to vote for evil.

I enjoy web design and development. I work full time in the field as a county webmaster. I enjoy computing on Macs and tolerate it on Windows all day everyday.

I will try to flesh some of these things out more later. But this is not the space for all of that.

* It might be fair to say that we are like RP(CNA), except that we immerse believers exclusively, we have different beliefs about polity, the deaconate, and the nature of the covenant, but we believe similarly about the Regulative Principle.
